Enjoy hunting, fishing, firearms, wilderness travel, snowshoeing.
  • Barb Parker - Lived in Delta since 1983, taught students, served on the school board.  Am running for DCC Board because of growing concerns with the board’s procedural practices. Those sitting on the board during the last DCC election influenced a preferred outcome when the ballot included several leading survey questions designed to elicit a particular response to bolster the views of the board. Recently, some members of the DCC board attempted to amend its bylaws to eliminate membership of three communities within the DCC community. A community functions best when all work together. DCC should work toward unity in our community.
    ‍
  • Rick Stillie Jr. - 22-year resident. Brings blend of business education, background in organizational management. Currently a utilities director. Years of volunteer service on boards/organizations reflect a deep commitment. Will focus on fiscal responsibility, transparency, open communication. Firmly believe DCC, City of Delta Junction serve the overall community best through cooperation while respecting each organization’s distinct purposes. DCC cannot control taxes or land usage; I will work to protect our independence and self-reliance. By managing our limited resources as a team, we can address our challenges with practical, clear-headed problem-solving. This approach will help us restore cooperation and mutual respect.

  • Vanessa Heath - Arrived in Delta/Greely area 2010. Contributed significant volunteer hours in all three local schools. Five Loaves Pantry, mission trips and wherever needed in the community. Interest in running is founded in love for people and desire to bring unity back to the community. Last several years have been wrought with great division, confusion, conflict. Would like to see transparency in emergency management efforts, educate community on the true happenings so can best decide how to move forward. Our small-town community deserves BDR board members who remain non-political, non-aggressive, slow to react to conflict, open minded. Intends to focus on fundraising.
