While last Tuesday brought the first snowfall of the season, it also brought the Delta High School Huskies’ fourth conference match of the season. Delta hosted the Monroe Rams for an exciting night of volleyball.
The Delta Junior Varsity team came out strong, defeating the Rams in three straight sets. As varsity took the court, the crowd was energized and excited to watch the Huskies take on the current No. 1 seed in the Aurora Conference.
After falling to the Rams in the first two sets, the Huskies came out swinging and secured a win in the third set. Despite their strong comeback, the Huskies ultimately fell to the Rams in the fourth set.
The Huskies will be back in action this weekend with tournament play in Glennallen before traveling to Hutchison and North Pole. Their next home game is scheduled for October 13. A big thank-you goes out to all of the family, friends, and fans who continue to come out and support our players. Your encouragement means so much to the team!
Go Huskies!
